I use activity based play therapy and dedicated programs for children and young teens. This can be anything from building a volcano to help learn how to scale anger or threading bracelets with words to help change thought patterns. With teens we might work on role play to help with friendship or communication issues. We might create puzzles and use this to represent the sequence of steps for ADHD therapy. The sky is the limit but I try to make it fun so they want to go to therapy. Working with crafts allows children a way to communicate their feelings in a non threatening way When I can I involve parents - we don't live in a bubble!
As we get older our lives can become more and more complicated. Sometimes this can be overwhelming and we need some guidance. I am very direct with my clients and using a range of therapies to guide me, I offer a solution-based approach - This means practical tools and strategies which can learnt and incorporated into life.

I can treat anything from Stress, Anxiety and Depression to Borderline Personality Disorder. Counselling can be scary, but I make it practical so you can walk away from therapy with strategies to improve your life.

I can help you to understand what ADHD is and how you can manage your life. Not only can I offer practical everyday strategies but I can help you to learn how to accept and understand yourself and your emotions so that you can face everyday life with strength and purpose.
There is nothing quite like the pain of losing someone and that doesn't always mean death. Divorce, separation and breakups all pose significant challenges. Our grief and loss sessions help clients process the emotional pain of losing a loved one or experiencing other significant losses. We provide clients with a supportive and compassionate space to express their feelings and work through the grieving process.
Trauma therapy sessions are designed to help clients heal from the effects of trauma, such as PTSD, childhood abuse, and sexual assault. We use evidence-based treatments, such as EMDR and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to help clients process their trauma and develop coping skills to manage symptoms.
Our parenting support sessions provide parents with the tools and strategies they need to navigate the challenges of raising children. We help parents develop effective communication skills, set boundaries, and build healthy relationships with their children. I can now offer parenting strategies specially designed to cater to the ADHD child
Whether you need therapy or your child needs therapy, I can help people living with ASD to understand their emotions and learn how to express themselves without fear. I will help to unravel the feelings of anxiety and depression that often go hand in hand with ASD and help you to navigate your emotions.
Anxiety is often the basis of eating issues or perhaps it may stem from childhood issues. I can help you to unravel your complex relationship with food and help you to find new coping strategies to manage your feelings.
Conflict is a normal part of every relationship, even in the healthiest of relationships. We all go through difficulties, as we all have different needs and ways of communicating. Sometimes we experience relationship struggles with family, not just partners - you might even be experiencing relationship difficulties with co workers. I can help you to improve communication, deepen your connection, and overcome challenges in your relationships. While I don't offer couples therapy, I will invite partners into a session to act as a safe conduit for communication if needed.
